"Find us on Facebook" ... oh how common this is.
I'll get right to the point. If your business is solely relying on social media platforms to present your business, you are losing customers. Let's look at some facts.
There are over 68 Million people who DON'T have social media accounts in the U.S.A.
And let's not forget that...
Many people have social media accounts but DON'T use them.
And...
Many people have social media accounts just for business or duplicate accounts.
The picture I'm uncovering is one that matches with the strategy of today's top strategic marketers. It comes down to having an omnichannel presence for your brand.
That means for the people who use Facebook, you are there too.
For those who use Instagram, you are there too.
For those who read magazines and watch television, you are there too.
For those who watch YouTube, you are there too.
And for the many people who want to find out more about your products, there is your website, which gloriously doesn't distract people with thousands of other messages and doesn't diminish with negative changes from someone else's platform.
So, indeed social media is very important, but it is certainly not the solution for everything. It is not Windex ... or Duct Tape. ;)
